Antenatal and Postnatal Care

There are three stages of caring for an expecting mother: prenatal, intranatal, postnatal care. This is essential to ensure smooth pregnancy and labour and to keep the mother healthy after giving birth.

Antenatal Care

Right from the moment you realize that you are pregnant, a woman must start taking extra care of her body. Even before planning a pregnancy, it is important that couples should consult with the doctor, in order to avoid any complications in future. Meeting the doctor is important at this stage as it helps them rule out complications arising from Thalassemia, Blood Sugar, Thyroid, PCOS etc.

At Udbhava, the main focus during antenatal care remains focused on the wellbeing of the mother. We look to detect high risks or complications that might arise during the pregnancy period and find ways to effectively prevent them. Due care is taken to reduce anxiety levels associated with pregnancy.

Intranatal Care

Intranatal care is the care given to mother and baby at the time of delivery. Each baby is different and there may be a number of ways of delivery. Based on the position of the foetus, the doctors will suggest the best mode of delivery. During this stage, the team of doctors focus on smooth delivery without any injury to the mother or baby and preventing any complications that might arise due to underlying conditions of the mother. It is also important to take care of the delivery resuscitation of the baby post-delivery.

Postnatal Care

For the first 6-8 weeks after a baby is born, postnatal care is absolutely required. During this period, the mother goes through a number of physical and emotional changes and requires ample rest, nutrition and care. Our team works tirelessly to restore the mother’s health to optimal. We take care to oversee proper breastfeeding of the baby and prevent postpartum complications.

At Udbhava, we strive to make your pregnancy a journey of beautiful milestones and memories.
